Alan Turing and Artificial Intelligence

Alan Turing pioneered artificial intelligence with his 1950 paper, “Computing Machinery and Intelligence,” proposing the Turing Test to evaluate machine intelligence. He asked, “Can machines think?” and suggested that if a machine could convincingly mimic human responses, it could be considered intelligent (Turing, 1950).
